Story:
There is a problem in the world of today, like many others, this is a big one.
In a few decades from now, the world could look very different, polluted with technology and toxic electronic waste.
What is fast tech? It is the collective name for the use of technology (in the 21st century) and its consequences. Automation, overproduction, electronic waste. Pollution. Technology contributes to pollution with 53.6 million metric tons of waste in 2020.
But the crazy thing is only 12.5 percent is being recycled. Now you are left with tons of metals and toxic materials every year that are dangerous to the planet’s flora & fauna, human and animal health.
Electronic waste, when this stuff is exposed to the heat it releases toxic chemicals that are released into the air damaging the atmosphere. Those toxic chemicals can then seep into the groundwater, affecting land and sea animals.
When e-waste breaks down into smaller bits and spreads into the soil.
The soil becomes contaminated and the worst part is, these pollutants can remain underground for a long time.
These materials are harmful to microorganisms and plants. To sum it all up Automation, overproduction, the latest technology trends, think about the consequences. We want to prevent this and keep our earth clean and green.
Are you aware of the pollution that Technology and automation bring into the future? Just like making clothing more sustainable, we should do the same with Technology. For instance, where do our products come from, what are they made off, where do they go when they break. We should have this information at hand and we should know what to do with our phone, computer, car and many other types of machinery after it breaks.
